Home Brew Supplies
www.thehomebrewcompany.co.uk – A company that supplies a superb range of quality malts in 25kg sacks that are excellent value for money. Delivery is super quick (2 days from Ireland) and postage costs are very good. They have a vast range of yeasts and fresh hops and regular decent special offers.
www.geterbrewed.com – An Irish based Beer Grain and Hop supplier, with the largest range of malts available to the U.K market. The first U.K supplier to provide Luplun2™ Cryo Hops Powder to the homebrewers market. P&P is very reasonable and the service is excellent. The website is a bit clunky on mobile devices due to the website theme.
www.worcesterhopshop.co.uk – A U.K based Hop and Beer Grain supplier with the most competetive Hop prices in the U.K at this time. Maris Otter 25KG bags are the cheapest here and I always get a friendly and efficient service. The website is perfect for mobile browsing, being quick, simple and not graphics intensive allowing buying on the move.
www.themaltmiller.co.uk – An excellent website for both small and large purchases alike. Perfect for both liquid beer yeast and dried beer yeast, as their prices are very competitive and P&P prices are relatively small. Hop and grain prices are good, however they are a major supplier of the imported Ss Brewing Technologies equipment (The ultimate home brew equipment)
www.brewuk.co.uk – A U.K based all purpose home brew supply shop. Great for home brew equipment and misc supplies. I often get my Micro Kegs from here. The Hop prices are fairly reasonable, but one to keep an eye on, as special sales on particular Hop varieties can give some real discounts. Their website is best viewed on a desktop, as mobile devices find it difficult rendering all the animations and graphics properly.
powellbrewing.co.uk – Where every home brewer and micro brewer should buy their kit from! A speedy, friendly and reliable service for all manner of devices including Stockpots, complete microbreweries, Thermopots (Stainless steel – double walled insulated mash tuns with false bottoms!) heat exchangers and all sorts of accessories. All pretty much custom made and fabricated.
http://ryansbooze.com – Beery writings from across the Pond in Canada. Beer reviews include local and international ales that those in the U.K will never probably even get a look at.
http://brulosophy.com – An absolutely amazing blog that pushes the boundaries of Home Brewing through experimentation and science. Methodical approaches and tips for Home Brewers of all experiences. I suggest signing up to their newsletter.
http://grizzlybearloveskolsch.com – A great ‘all grain’ homebrew blog from Leeds.
https://carbonsmith.co.uk – A great blog from a chap who has taken the plunge from home brewer to commercial brewer. He is currently setting up his new kit. Perhaps his most informative article is this one. A simple guide on how to turn your garage into a fully legal microbrewery. You can download the PDF of this guide right here.
www.jimsbeerkit.co.uk – The undisputed beer forum for the U.K. Full of practical tips for all homebrewers including both kit and grain brews. A valuable fountain of all knowledge beery.
www.brewersfriend.com/abv-calculator – This is your best Home Brew friend. I use this link more than the BBC news website. A great source of all beer science, recipes IBU calculators and tonnes more.
www.thehomebrewforum.co.uk – The Home Brew Forum UK (HBF) is a great place to bounce ideas and brewing techniques off fellow members. A great starting place to learn about Home Brew.
