Sadler’s – Reigndeer – 5.0%
From Sadler’s Brewery comes Reigndeer at 5.0%. A fruity malty aroma on decapping, no definite hop presence. initial carbonation is massive and completely mind boggling, leading to a massive growing head but leaving decent head retention. Again, like other Sadler’s beer I’ve tried, the base beer is without body and a bit watery. The fruity malty character is probably the best thing about the beer. Carbonation fizzles out quickly to reveal a boring ale, lacking character which is certainly not bitter and average at best. I’d love to find out how Sadler’s makes the mouthfeel of the beer like tap water, so that I can avoid the technique completely in my homebrew. Not good.
