Samuel Adams – Rebel IPA – 6.5%
From Samuel Adams comes Rebel IPA at 6.5%. De-capping gives an encouraging defacto American IPA citrus aroma. The pour is extra pale with bags of carbonation and head generation. The mouth-feel is disappointingly thin and watery. The hop bitterness is initially quite decent and then disappears all too quickly. A sweet malt citrus aftertaste also becomes apparent. This beer has potential, however the watery body and mouth-feel makes this a bit flat and a bit of a dud for me.
